‘Bodies’ on display in Paris
13/09/2013
The New York-based company will create an imposing installation of AlvaForms entitled ‘Bodies of life, bodies of the world’ at the main entrance to the exhibition hall. Visitors will be able to view the AlvaForms that are based on the 3D body scans of over 300,000 consumers worldwide.
Alvanon captures 3D body shapes in data collection scanners and then analyses the data to generate a picture of “dominant body shapes”. It then uses this data to create physical AlvaForms that represent the real body shape, measurements and posture characteristics of consumers.
