Bacterial management solutions provider Noble Biomaterials has become a bluesign partner. The Pennsylvania-based company said it was pleased to be able to offer assurance to buyers of its X-Static and XT2 fibres that the products, which can enhance the antimicrobial functionality of outdoor goods, are made in keeping with bluesign standards for sustainability.

Under on-site scrutiny from bluesign auditors, Noble Biomaterials’ production processes met the required standards in resource productivity, air emission, occupational health and safety, water emission and consumer safety.

“Consumers today expect athletic apparel to deliver maximum performance while ensuring they’re made using eco-friendly materials,” said Jeff Keane, Noble Biomaterials chief executive. “Our bluesign system partner status allows us to work with brands that require anti-odour technologies that are environmentally sustainable.”
