Yeti North jacket features Toray’s Quix Down

OutDoor Gold Award winner Toray and down specialist Yeti have joined forces to produce a jacket that is sustainable as well as functional.

The new Yeti North jacket is made from 60% plant-based nylon, which is extracted from the ricinus plant.

The light, plant-based outer fabric is water-repellent and because the jacket features a Crystal Down Dry filling that has been treated with Toray’s Quix Down technology, the whole jacket is water-repellent.

Japan-based Toray and Germany-based Yeti have teamed up with Danish outdoor retail chain Eventyr Sport for the market launch in 2014.
