Thermolite Wildcraft jackets to launch in Mumbai

Integrated fibres and polymers Invista has teamed up with outdoor brand Wildcraft to develop a new range of jackets containing Thermolite insulation for autumn-winter 2013.

Thermolite uses engineered fibres that can be converted into nonwoven waddings of different weights for use in various outdoor garments including jackets, sleeping bags and gloves.

The Wildcraft jackets have been designed to withstand temperatures of up to -5oC and in a wide range of weights for use in casual wear as well as extreme cold weather garments and gear.

Avinash Chandra, marketing head South Asia at Invista, said: “The current trend in outdoor industry is lightweight gear and our Thermolite insulation technology stands for ‘thermal comfort without adding bulky layers’.

“With increasing interest among Indian consumer towards mountaineering and travelling, we are delighted to launch Thermolite insulation in India with Wildcraft, who are leaders in outdoor gear in India.”
