Workrite’s FR outerwear line features 3M Thinsulate
US-based workwear brand Workrite Uniform Company recently unveiled a new flame-resistant (FR) outerwear line featuring 3M Thinsulate Platinum Insulation. The line is said to offer ideal FR protection for cold-weather conditions as it provides extra warmth without adding weight.
The company claims Thinsulate FR is 44% warmer compared with standard insulated FR workwear featuring modacrylic quilting systems.
"Our customers needed FR garments that not only kept them warm, but kept them mobile," says Carol Krebs, general manager for industrial workwear at Workrite.
“We listened, and in working with Westex and 3M, we have a new line of outerwear that can stand up to both the elements of cold climates and the requirements of these workers' jobs."
The navy duck Thinsulate outerwear line includes an insulated field coat, hood and bib overalls.
