Visitor numbers up 4% at Interstoff
Almost 7,000 visitors attended the most recent edition of Interstoff Asia Essential, which took place in Hong Kong from September 25-27. This represented a 4% increase compared with the previous year.
A total of 174 exhibitors from eight countries and regions took part in the event, covering 9,000m2 of exhibition space. Exhibitors travelled from across China, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea and Taiwan to take part.
“Many exhibitors recorded an increase in the number of buyers they had at their booths, especially those with functional and eco products,” commented Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of fair organiser Messe Frankfurt (HK).
“Being in Hong Kong, the fair attracts many buyers from mainland China, as well as locally based companies doing business there. In addition, many international brands have purchasing offices here, so exhibitors also have access to many overseas buyers.
“What’s more, these buyers know this is a niche fair where they can find the latest high-end fabrics.”
