Two new TenCate fabrics to launch at A+A
TenCate Protective Fabrics will launch two new products during the forthcoming A+A 2013 international trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, from November 5-8.
The first is a new protective fabric with a laminate, which will be used in flame-resistant industrial outdoor clothing. It provides protection against rain, wind and other adverse conditions as well as moisture-regulating characteristics.
The second fabric will be used for corporate polo shirts and T-shirts that are comfortable to wear and wash well. The Netherlands-based company claims that its woven fabrics and knits dry faster than cotton alternatives with a flame-retardant finish.
TenCate expects demand for protective and comfortable clothing in industry to continue to increase as a result of changing legislation regarding personnel safety in the workplace. It claims that American and European tests have shown that its Tecasafe Plus fabrics and knits offer greater protection and more comfort than alternative products. Not only do their flame-resistant characteristics offer maximum protection against the dangers of industrial heat and flames, these characteristics will neither wash out nor wear out.
TenCate Tecasafe Plus fabrics are already used in protective industrial clothing, such as work trousers, jackets and overalls.
