DyStar buys out Lenmar Chemical Corporation
Germany-based textile dye specialist DyStar has acquired US-based chemicals company Lenmar Chemical Corporation.
For the last 30 years, Lenmar has manufactured a wide range of specialty chemicals for the textile, carpet, fibre processing, laminate flooring, water treatment, oil and agriculture industries. Its customer base is predominately in the southeast of the US.
“Lenmar’s management has been very successful in transforming and diversifying their business over the last three years,” commented Ron Pedemonte, president of DyStar Americas.
“The acquisition of Lenmar and their manufacturing capabilities accelerates our strategy to strengthen and expand our textile and non-textile chemical business in the Americas.”
The combined business of DyStar LP and Lenmar will operate chemical manufacturing and distribution sites in Reidsville in North Carolina and Dalton in Georgia, with more than 50,000 tons of annual capacity.
