Oeko-Tex wants textile operators to go for ‘Company of the Month’

15/11/2013
Environmental certification group the Oeko-Tex Association is encouraging textile and garment manufacturers around the world to take part in its ‘Company of the Month’ initiative.

Oeko-Tex launched Company of the Month in 2011 to highlight the achievements of companies that “stand out on account of their above-average commitment to product safety and sustainable production conditions”.

Other aspects the organisation takes into consideration include the transparency with which the companies operate and their commitment to social responsibility and environmental protection.

All companies with a valid Oeko-Tex certification are entitled to put themselves forward for the ‘Company of the Month’ campaign by writing to the organisation. Each month, an Oeko-Tex jury will select one company from all entries received. Those who are successful receive a certificate and free advertising material that they can use to inform customers, business partners and consumers about their selection as an environmentally friendly and socially responsible company.
