Textile exports up for Pakistan

Textile and garment manufacturers in Pakistan have recorded a 7.5% increase in exports in the first four months of the current financial year, July-October 2013, compared to the same four months in 2012.

In the four-month period this year, the value of Pakistan’s textile exports was almost $4.7 billion.

Exports of raw cotton were up by more than 40% in value, but still has a substantially lower share of the overall total than cotton yarn or cotton fabric.
