A&E said its inclusion in the list showed it has managed to integrate “extremely high environmental, health, and safety standards” into its corporate culture.
The list aims to highlight the relationship between safety and productivity, profits, morale, and employee retention, with the organisers claiming that the only companies that can call themselves truly sustainable are the ones that protect “their most important asset, employees”.
Vice-president for health and safety and for sustainability at A&E, John Eapen, said featuring on this list would inspire the thread manufacturer to “continue to demonstrate leadership in these areas for our employees and customers”.
