Carlos Abad, the footwear brand’s general manager, said of the development: “The new soles provide hikers with increased slip and water resistance, and are lighter for better comfort.”
The soling technology features a direct-injection polyether system in the midsole combined with “soft-touch” technology in the outsole. It is designed for all types of terrain, including rivers and mountains. The textured sole helps grip even mossy rocks or snow covered trails. “A lightweight polyurethane blend ensures hikers won’t tire from the extra weight on their feet and provides support for the feet and back,” Dow said.
