New fabrics from Piave Maitex

Italian fabric producer Piave Maitex will include a series of new fabrics in its proposals for spring-summer 2015, which it will present to the market from the start of 2014.

One of these will be PM One Micro. The company has said its PM One performance fabrics have generated high levels of interest in the market for their “great versatility”. The fabrics have “controlled” elasticity, strength and stretch recovery, making them useful for applications such as shapewear.

PM One Micro is the latest version; it offers a soft and warm handfeel, in addition to fast drying time, UV protection, and a high level of wicking.

A new concept, PM Idea, will also be on show. Piave Maitex has described it as a fabric that has “never been seen or developed before”. Its flexibility and strength make it suitable for sports underwear, as well as shapewear.
