Belarus seeks joint-venture partner to run fibre producer

The government of Belarus has been weighing up partners to help it finance a restructuring of OAO Grodno Azot, a manufacturing group that includes fibre and yarn producer OAO Khimvolokno.

OAO Khimvolokno, which became part of the group in 2011, specialises in polyamide and polyester fibres and yarns, as well as composite materials.

Recent comments from the government in Minsk suggest it wants to run the group as a joint venture, with a partner who has good access to natural resources.
