Li & Fung plans to improve supply chains

Hong Kong-based Li & Fung, one of the world’s largest sourcing groups, is establishing a new vendor support business unit which it says will enhance factory and worker safety, raise standards and improve operational efficiencies in its supply chain.

The business will be led by group chairman William Fung Kwok Lun, and will be expanded as an integral part of the group’s next three-year plan, which will be announced in March.

The new unit will incorporate the company’s existing services plus new offerings that include product testing and provision of logistics support to factories.
