According to the company, the traction technologies it uses on the soles of its shoes are the key to its success because these have “radically improved people’s ability to be active outdoors all year round”.
Patented technology such as BUGrip have allowed wearers to stay active even on ice, the company said following its receipt of the award. A new traction rubber, RB9X, will allow runners to negotiate rocks in wet weather safely, it added.
