Dow VP to give keynote at polyurethanes conference

The organisers of the UTECH North America conference, which will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, from June 4-5, have announced that the programme will include 46 “detailed technical papers” covering all aspects of the polyurethanes market in North America. The US polyurethanes market alone has an output valued at $19.4 billion and supports more than 200,000 jobs.

Mark Bassett, global vice-president for polyurethanes at Dow Chemical, will deliver the conference’s opening keynote address, looking at shifting markets, technology innovation, chemical regulations and sustainability trends.

Footwear and textile applications of polyurethane will feature in later sessions.
