Baffin relaunches “purely Canadian” Heritage boot

Canadian outdoor footwear brand Baffin has relaunched its Heritage boot, the product that “started it all” for the brand in 1997.

For the relaunch, the company has used the original mould from 1997 and the same style, whih is based on Innuit footwear. However, while Innuit boots have five layers, the Baffin one has eight.

At the time of the relaunch, brand manager, Mark Hubner, commented: “It’s important to remember and celebrate our roots, and what better way to do so then recreating the boot that sparked our success in the cold weather industry.”

Fully assembled at Baffin’s headquarters in Ontario, the limited-edition boot features leathers sourced from Quebec, natural beaver trim from Canada’s West Coast, and bases moulded at the company’s headquarters.

Baffin’s president, Paul Hubner, said of the Heritage boot: “Without this technology, we wouldn’t be the company we are today, which is why we want to celebrate our success and manufacture a purely Canadian boot.”
