Smack Sportswear’s new president aims to reposition brand

Mr Mercer worked for adidas as US marketing manager for football and baseball and as director of team sales. In 2007 he was hired as vice-president of sales and marketing for High 5 Sportswear.
He will focus on repositioning Smack in the team sports market, with specific focus on launching products and services, supply chain efficiency and strategic planning.
CEO Bill Sigler will focus on operations, finance, production and compliance. “Tom has spent the last 18 years successfully repositioning companies in our industry,” said Mr Sigler. “I am certain that his experience and guidance will lead to significant growth and profitability for our company.”
Founded in 1994 in California, Smack Sportswear is primarily focused on volleyball with many styles designed and tested by Olympians before launching.
