Shima Seiki takes Total Fashion System idea to Egypt

Computerised flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki travelled to Egypt at the end of February for the Egy Stitch & Tex exhibition in Cairo.

The Japanese company wanted to use the exhibition to display the latest version of its SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system, which demonstrates, the company has said, “comprehensive support of the entire process of apparel production”.

SDS-ONE APEX3 is at the core of a concept that Shima Seiki calls its ‘Total Fashion System’, covering all processes from planning and production to sales promotion, with capacity for virtual sampling. The company is hoping to attract apparel manufacturers in Egypt to the idea.
