Kering could buy more sports brands

Following a recent speech in China, chief executive, François-Henri Pinault, said in comments to financial media outlet Bloomberg: “When you look at the next 20, 30 years in terms of economic development of the world, the key markets are young people very much attracted by brands, very much aware of health issues, attracted by sports.”
Mr Pinault said Kering had no intention of selling Puma; in fact, he said the group would continue to invest in building up Puma’s presence in the global market. Once Puma is “on track”, he said other sports acquisitions are possible.
