TenCate confident of growth in 2014, despite Q1 decline

28/04/2014
Protective fabric manufacturer TenCate has recorded a decline in revenues of 7% in the first quarter of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013. The company said on releasing the figures that changes in currency effects had been an important factor in this, as had lower sales revenues from the defence sector.

TenCate said it does not consider the results for the first quarter to be representative of the year as a whole, and it is still confident of growth for 2014 as a whole.

It said it anticipates defence-related revenues will recover strongly, based on current and expected orders.
