07/05/2014
The full programme for the event is still to be confirmed, but the organisers hope two European Commissioners will take part, alongside the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Subject to confirmation, WTO head, Roberto Azevêdo, will speak about his organisation’s role in the face of the increasing number of free trade agreements around the world. EU Commissioner for trade, Karel De Gucht, will speak on how the clothing and textile industry in the EU can improve its access to global markets. His counterpart for industry and entrepreneurship, Antonio Trajani, will address the event on the best policies for taking advantage of free trade agreements.
