UK conference to address fraud in the leather supply chain
Mulberry’s head of legal, Kate Anthony Wilkinson, has been named among speakers at the upcoming Beast to Beauty conference, which will be held in London on June 4.
The fifth event, ‘Faking it – fraud in the leather supply chain’, will provide a forum to share experiences and explain how fakes, fraud and false labelling can impact footwear and leathergoods businesses.
Handley Brustad, a lead officer in intellectual property at the UK’s Trading Standards, and trademark attorney Andrew Handley, from law firm Marks & Clerk, have also been announced as speakers.
The conference, which is being organised by World Leather, consultancy Leather Wise and the University of Northampton, will be followed by a drinks reception where delegates can continue their discussions.
