Dow Corning celebrates progress on hazardous waste target

Specialist silicon-based technology provider Dow Corning has announced that it is already halfway towards meeting a target it set itself in 2011 to eliminate hazardous waste to landfill from its supply chain by 2017.

Last year, it sent just over 4,700 tonnes of hazardous waste to landfill. “This result indicates that we have already achieved more than half of the reduction,” the company said in its latest sustainability report.
