More to DyStar’s water-saving solution for cotton

In the May-June 2014 issue of WSA, we said DyStar’s water-saving solution for cotton is the Remazol RGB range of reactive dyes combined with a process called Sera Eco Wash, and that it reduces the steps in the dyeing process down to a single rinse bath.

The company has asked us to point out that its Remazol Ultra RGB, SAM and Levafix CA dyes can also help customers put into effect a water-saving dyeing process for cotton. Its new solutions reduce the number of necessary rinsing baths after dyeing to three or four, rather than one.

Nevertheless, the new concept still represents an important saving in water because this compares to the six or seven rinse-baths required with earlier technology. In addition, the new process can be carried out at the lower temperature of 60°C, providing an energy saving of approximately 30%.
