India’s finance minister, Arun Jaitley, has said the country will set up six new textile clusters: two in Uttar Pradesh, two in Gujarat, one in Bihar and one in Tamil Nadu.
The minister said the government had earmarked more than $30 million for these projects into the government’s budget for 2014-2015.
