Haglöfs aims for new heights with Edurne Pasaban
Swedish outdoor brand Haglöfs has entered into cooperation with Spanish mountaineer Edurne Pasaban, the first woman to climb all of world’s 8,000-metre peaks. Haglöfs said at the time of the announcement that its aim is to further strengthen its mountain segment.

Edurne Pasaban grew up in the Basque Country, near the Pyrenees, and completed her first 8,000-metre ascent in 2001 when she reached the summit of Mount Everest. In the course of the next nine years she climbed the rest of the world’s fourteen peaks over 8,000 metres, finishing with Shisha Pangma in Tibet in 2010.

“Edurne Pasaban is an amazing mountaineer and her extensive knowledge and experiences from the harsh mountain environment will be very valuable for us when we develop new mountain products,” said Haglöfs strategic design manager, Fredrik Lundberg, on announcing the development. “We are very pleased to have her on board and are convinced that she will help our mountain segment reach new heights.”
