Sports footwear group makes earthquake relief donation

Chinese sports footwear group Anta has sent a donation of money and materials worth $800,000 to communities in Ludian County, Yunnan province, after the area was hit by an earthquake on August 3.

The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.1, resulted in the deaths of more than 600 people.

Anta said it wanted to help people in the area rebuild their homes and restore “normal life” as soon as possible.
