18 African teams wore African kit at the Youth Olympics

Senegalese sports brand JSports kitted out 18 teams for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, which took place in Nanjing from August 16-28.

Launched in early 2012, JSports was able to supply kit for athletes at the London 2012 Olymics and at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. However, its presence at the Youth Olympics was the most extensive yet.

The 18 nations that chose JSports apparel for their athletes in Nanjing were all African.

JSports has come to view itself as the number-one African sports brand and has said it aims to kit out 30 African Olympics teams at the Rio games in 2016.
