Nike may consider own-brand stores in India

Sports brand Nike has applied for permission to open company-owned stores in India. The news was reported by the Economic Times of India, which quoted a formal notification published by the government.

The newspaper also quoted Nike as saying it may consider opening own-brand stores in India in future, but that its partnerships with local distributors and retail partners in India were working well too.
