On launches new winter version of the Cloudrunner

Equipped with a high-tech membrane, the Cloudrunner Winter Edition is 100% water- and windproof, On has claimed, and yet retains breathability. An adjusted tongue provides best comfort and protects from wet conditions and dirt, with the wearer’s feet staying warm and dry.
On uses a patented system called CloudTec in all its shoes, allowing it to offer the benefits of a soft training shoe with those of a hard and fast racing shoe in one product, it says.
The company claims that athletes who have worn Ons and their coaches have reported greater muscle activation, new personal bests and shorter recovery times. Independent studies by Switzerland’s Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich have confirmed that the system can substantially reduce an athlete’s heart rates and blood lactate levels.
