Outdoor footwear group Wolverine Worldwide has appointed Melissa Howell to the position of senior vice-president for global human resources. She will report directly to chief executive, Blake Krueger.

Ms Howell has nearly 25 years’ experience in human resource management and comes to Wolverine from General Motors, one of the world’s largest automobile companies, with more than 200,000 employees in 150 countries.
