Tri Ocean to make move to polypropylene

21/10/2014
Taiwanese textile manufacturer Tri Ocean has said it plans to close its nylon division in 2015 and will concentrate instead on producing polypropylene yarn.

On making the announcement, Tri Ocean said it believes demand is strong for polypropylene and that it can achieve a better margin.

This will mean changing production at a factory the company runs in Thailand, which produces nylon 6.6 at the moment, but will begin to make polypropylene yarn instead.
