Kolon Industries mourns honorary president

Korean polyester yarn manufacturer Kolon Industries has announced that its honorary president, Lee Dong-chan, has died. He was 92 years old.

Mr Lee took over the running of the company from his father in 1977. He led the company first to become a major exporter of nylon and, later, to transition into Korea’s first producer of polyester.
