Indorama to acquire new polyester plant in China

Indorama said on making the announcement that this move represents a continuation of an expansion strategy that has involved the acquisition of an 80% stake in German manufacturer PHP Fibers at the start of this year and, as a joint-venture partner of Italian producer Sinterama’s, of Trevira in 2011.
Performance Fibers’ plant in China is in Kaiping, in Guangdong province. Indorama has described the facility as the second-largest of its kind in China.
