Munich owners win new contract as swimwear brand’s distributor

The two brothers who head up Spanish sports footwear brand Munich, Xavier and David Berneda, have announced a new venture.

In addition to their work on expanding Munich’s profile internationally, they have set up a new company, Bernher, to act as the official distributor in Spain, Portugal and Andorra of Italian swimwear brand Jaked.

A company called Aquatic Global Sports had the distribution rights for Jaked in all three markets, but its chief executive, Eduard Lorente, has said the company did not have the resources to keep up with the high levels of growth the brand has experienced in recent years. Mr Lorente has now joined Bernher.
