Three-layer linen is Griffin’s fabric choice
UK-based luxury outdoor brand Griffin has used a three-layer technical linen, produced by Italian fabric manufacturer ITS Artea, in its spring-summer 2015 collection. As one of the layers is a waterproof membrane, Griffin insists the fabric lends itself to outdoor pursuits.

Based at what it calls a design studio and “eco-retreat” in North Devon, Griffin’s specialism is limited-edition outdoor clothing influenced by “the simplistic, functional nature of military garments, with technical detailing such as laser-cutting and bonded seams at the forefront of each garment”.

It supplies high-end retailers around the world but only ever makes 200 garments in each style. “There is no mass production ever,” Griffin insists.
