Growth for Dow Corning

Silicon-based technology provider Dow Corning has reported sales for 2014 of $6.2 billion, an increase of 9% compared to the figure for 2013. Its net income from this total was $513 million, an increase year on year of 36%.

Chief financial officer, Donald Sheets, said on announcing the results: “Dow Corning continues to lead the industry in the development of new formulations and applications for silicon-based technologies. This commitment to long-term growth, as well as our diligence in maintaining and enhancing our cost-leadership has positioned us for continued growth and success.”

The company is a long-standing joint venture, co-owned by Dow Chemical and Corning.
