Nilit claims test success for Aquarius

Israeli fibre manufacturer Nilit has claimed that its new Aquarius nylon 6.6 yarn has proved in tests to have better wicking properties than standard polyester, cotton, polypropylene, profiled polyester and nylon.

In tests the company carried out earlier this year in its own laboratory, using a standard set by sports brand Nike, Nilit said Aquarius demonstrated moisture travelling across a wider area in a set timeframe than any of the other yarns.

“Aquarius fibres transport moisture away from the skin through the garment and out toward the air,” the company said. “The fibres are extremely well suited to all types of sportswear, activewear and dancewear.”
