Outdoor brand Barbour is continuing its partnership with automotive brand Land Rover and has prepared a new autumn-winter 2015-2016 collection.

On announcing the new collection, Barbour said the clothes had been created with the automotive group’s Range Rover brand in mind. “It takes elegance to a new level combining luxurious fabrics with classically tailored garments. Modernity, precision and sophistication are at the heart of the range,” Barbour said.

It said it had used the bodylines of Range Rover’s Evoque model “as a muse for the seam-lines and panels in the clothes in the new autumn-winter collection.

New for this season, and to tie in with the 2015 Rugby World Cup, there will be a special rugby capsule collection. Gilets, shirts, rugby shirts, tees and sweaters feature alongside “iconic” quilted and wax jackets.

Paul Wilkinson, global marketing director for Barbour, said at the time of the launch: “There is a strong synergy between our two companies. We are both established British brands with years of heritage, renowned for our understated style and links to the countryside, yet we are both just as comfortable in an urban environment. ”
