Techtera celebrates its tenth birthday

Techtera, a special technical textile cluster set up in the Rho^ne-Alpes region of France in 2005 to encourage manufacturers to work together with research bodies and universities to bring innovative textile products to market, celebrated its tenth birthday on June 23.

At a special celebration in Lyon, the cluster’s president, Louis Vovelle said the three main objectives Techtera will have in the next three years are to see through to market-launch more of the innovations companies active there come up with, intensify its activity in other parts of Europe and communicate more widely about the successes of Techtera textile manufacturers.
