Shimano’s European president, Marc van Rooij, said Eindhoven’s High Tech Campus has developed a strong cluster of companies and knowledge institutes in the field of sports, technology and design. “By establishing ourselves in the area, we strengthen our strategic position, increase our opportunities for the recruitment of international talent and have optimal benefit from the high-tech facilities and international networks in Eindhoven,” he said.

The campus currently has 135 companies and institutes with a total of 10,000 researchers, developers and entrepreneurs from 85 countries.
