Berghaus prepares new Extrem collection for special anniversary

Originally introduced in 1986, Extrem’s 30th anniversary will be marked by an all-new collection of performance clothing.
Berghaus’s Extrem team consists of seven members who have a combined total of more than 50 years working in the outdoor sector. They have used their own experience as well as input from other adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts to develop an anniversary collection that comprises shell, down, synthetic and fleece versions of the jacket.
Category manager, Paul Cosgrove, said: “Everyone who works on the Extrem project is acutely aware of the phenomenal heritage that comes with the name. We only have to glance at the Berghaus archives from the last 30 years to see that the kit has been used on some incredible expeditions. There are some Extrem products that are genuinely revered, both here at Berghaus and by many others in our industry. I’m constantly amazed by how many serious mountaineers and explorers I meet who have used Berghaus Extrem kit over the years. The next range has a lot to live up to, but I’m confident that it more than does that. It’s been an extraordinary experience working with this talented team to develop a new collection that I believe will launch Berghaus Extrem into another 30 years of success.”
The new collection will be launched to the trade at the end of 2015.
