New vice-president of retail for REI

Outdoor retail co-operative REI has made Rachel Ligtenberg its new vice-president of retail. Ms Ligtenberg has been with the organisation for 25 years. REI currently operates 141 stores in 33 states of the US.

“Rachel is an inspiring leader and advocate for change, always pushing REI and our employees to connect with our members in richer ways,” said Jerry Stritzke, REI’s chief executive, on announcing the appointment. “She leads by collaborating with her teams, and has the expertise and passion to help the co-op create engaging in-store experiences.”
