Virginia company wins IFF innovation award

IFF is a non-profit organisation dedicated to education and research in specialty fabrics. The goal of the Innovation Award is to inspire companies around the globe to develop innovative products and processes, the organisation said on announcing the result.
BondCote manufactures coated, laminated and composite fabrics for a series of sectors, including sports and outdoor. Specifically, it won the award, which carries a $5,000 prize, for HEYtrax, a three-dimensionally woven structure with two base fabrics that are interlinked with spacer threads.
