Chinese manufacturer Rongsheng Petrochemical has carried out trials of paraxylene production at a plant in Ningbo, the largest of its kind in China. Paraxylene is used to make polyester fibre and plastics.
All Rongsheng would say on confirming the tests was that its programme for producing paraxylene at the Ningbo facility is on track.
