New status means Techtera can offer tax advantages on new products

Specialist technical textile cluster Techtera has won accreditation from the French government to offer a 20% tax credit to companies working with it to launch new products.

Techtera has been working in the Rhône-Alpes region of France for the last ten years to encourage manufacturers to work together with research bodies and universities to bring innovative textile products to market.

Its new status, which will be in place for the next five years at least, means small and medium-sized companies working on prototypes or product launches can use its services and benefit financially from the tax credit. Project spend to which the tax credit will apply will be capped at €400,000.
