Crowds up by 20% at ITMA

Textile machinery exhibition ITMA has reported visitor numbers of close to 123,000, with almost 150 countries represented among the people who attended the event in Milan in mid-November.

ITMA’s European event takes place only once every four years and the organisers have said the 2015 edition surpassed the attendance figures of the previous event, in Barcelona in 2011, by 20%.

Organiser CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers, said the Milan event was one of the most successful ever.

CEMATEX president, Charles Beauduin, said at the conclusion of the event: “Our message on sustainability has resonated greatly with buyers. Visitors are  serious  about  checking  out  new innovative  solutions  to  improve  their competitive edge.”
