Tanatex and Sciessent agree partnership for Europe

Dutch textile chemicals manufacturer Tanatex and antimicrobial solutions provider Sciessent have announced a new strategic partnership, under which Tanatex will help Sciessent bring its Lava odour-control technology to the textile industry in Europe.

Tanatex will be the exclusive distributor for the Lava product in Europe.

Harnessing the power of zeolites, mineral-based substances that come from volcanic ash, Sciessent Lava can be infused into a wide variety of materials, capturing odours on everything from sweat-soaked apparel to pet products, home textiles and more. In a statement announcing their new partnership, the two companies described Lava as a natural, non-toxic material that is easy to integrate into a variety of products. “It is wash-fast and durable and shows regenerative capabilities with each wash cycle for the life of the product. It is colour-stable and effective even when wet,” they added.

Tanatex pointed out that this will be its first time taking an external product to its customers.
